Content optimization and reporting

Short answer

From month three of a program: a brief for every page published or updated, on-page checks, monthly updates to the keyword research, the content plan and the competitive metrics, team monitoring and training, and a monthly report with the citation numbers on its front page. Answer engine optimization (AEO) and search engine optimization (SEO) as the ongoing work.

What the work covers

Content velocity and recency, tracked and tuned: which pages to publish or refresh next, in which order, and why. Each brief carries the structure an engine can quote: the direct answer first, the entities and sub-questions covered, the schema that goes with it. On-page checks after publication, and training for the team as the pattern of what gets cited becomes clear.

How it is measured

Citations and share of voice on the priority queries, month over month, against the competitors; organic rankings and traffic for the same pages; AI referral traffic separated from everything else. The report shows the numbers that moved and the ones that did not.

Questions

Questions I get asked

How many pages a month?

The plan sets the velocity from your team’s capacity and the gaps that matter most, and the monthly update adjusts it as the results arrive.

What is in the monthly report?

Citations and share of voice by engine for the priority queries, the competitor movement, organic rankings and traffic for the planned pages, AI referral traffic, and the next month’s priorities. The citation numbers are on the front page.

How long does this phase run?

For as long as the program runs. It is the ongoing work, and each month stands on its own report.
