SEO consulting
Short answer
Search engine optimization (SEO) is still the foundation: answer engines retrieve from the indexes that classical SEO builds and maintains. I have run SEO programs since 2013, with more than ten years in off-page SEO and link building, and I run them today as one program with answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO).
What the work covers
Technical SEO and site architecture: crawl, indexation, speed, structured data, internal linking and hub-and-spoke structure. Keyword research and content planning by intent. On-page optimization and content strategy. Link building and digital PR. Conversion tracking, so rankings connect to revenue. The audit style is structural: root causes before symptoms, metrics first with the business outcome attached.
How it is measured
Organic sessions, rankings for the planned keyword set, referring domains and Domain Rating, and the conversions and revenue the organic channel delivers, on server-side tracking.
Questions I get asked
Is SEO still worth doing now that AI answers exist?
Yes. Every answer engine retrieves from search indexes, so the site that ranks is the site that can be cited, and search still sends the traffic the AI answers summarize.
Who do you work with?
SaaS companies, fintech and comparison brands, publishers, e-commerce retailers and travel businesses: the industries behind the case studies on this site. I take a small number of engagements at a time, part time.
What does an SEO engagement look like?
It starts with the AEO & SEO Industry Report, about two weeks. If the picture justifies a program, month one is the audit and the prioritized plan, month two the keyword research and content plan, and from month three the ongoing optimization and monthly reporting, with link building and conversion tracking added where they pay off.
